The course is structured around roughly equal theory and hands-on instruction. Work on your paddling, group management, rescue knowledge and lesson delivery, then demonstrate what you have learned in assessments.
Paddling fundamentals
Board disciplines, equipment, paddles, manoeuvring, stance and technique.
Safety and teaching
Weather, water conditions, risk, group leadership, rescue and instruction methods.
Practise and assess
Shadow live lessons, develop session plans and complete theory and practical assessments.
